Clear zoning has been used to convey product-specific themes visually, and depending on application, this alternates between urban and countryside landscapes. Technical innovation is reflected in the distinctive stand architecture and brand communication.

Das Bad der Zukunft richtet sich nach individuellen Bedürfnissen und ist bereits auf der Messe mittels Augmented Reality erlebbar. SCHMIDHUBER hat dafür eine App entwickelt, die das unsichtbare Innere der Produkte veranschaulicht und mit der die Besucher technische Lösungen sowie Design- und Farboptionen realitätsnah durchspielen können.

Software AG’s event slogan this year is EXPERIENCE EVERTHING. RAPID. OPEN. SECURE. This brings together the most important themes of its range of products and services: Fast connections. Open interfaces. Data security.

Digital solutions

SCHMIDHUBER designed Software AG’s stand in the B2B trade show area d!conomy as a spatial experience where visitors can try out digital solutions from various different areas of application.

From optimized environmental management that uses sensors in waste bins to send data to urban waste management, eliminating unnecessary journeys to collect bins that aren’t full, to the IoT showcase with a forklift truck: deliveries of goods are equipped with new intelligent sensors that not only track the shipment’s location, but also collect data throughout the entire delivery process on temperature fluctuations, moisture and vibration.

Slackline
Experience

Visitors can enjoy a more playful attraction at the Slackline Experience. Equipped with virtual reality goggles, visitors set off on a (digital?) rope walk between two icy peaks at a dizzying height. Everything is possible in the digital space – the line is the symbol that SCHMIDHUBER has woven in to the stand architecture: Everything is always connected, everywhere, and the lines all converge at Software AG.

The future is digital

This year’s CEBIT is re-imagining itself and focusing on open, interactive concepts.

A new open event format welcomes visitors inside and can also be experienced outside the exhibition hall: You can watch a live stream of events at the trade show on a screen in the city center of Hanover. Digital is the future – and for the IT industry, Hanover is a firm fixture on the calendar.

Digital transformation at Trumpf’s trade fair appearance at Euroblech

In fact, we all are. Whether it is via Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp – the internet makes connections possible. This connectivity isn’t restricted to social media and messaging tools though. It flows over into industry, modern mechanical engineering as well as interactive architecture and communication planning.

Digitality at Trumpf

It is this topic in particular and the broader arena of digital transformation which play a fundamental role for our customer TRUMPF. Whether this be in product development or production optimization in SMART FACTORIES, everything is becoming not only significantly faster and more efficient, but also more personal, flexible and transparent.

It was this thinking which drove the planning and design process for the exhibition stand at Euroblech 2018. Covering an area of almost 2,500 m² over two floors, we consolidated and expanded on our stand and communication concept from 2016 and offered an interactive presentation to showcase the product developments of the Swabian company.

The focus lay clearly on the pervasive theme of “connectivity”. The aim was to create a natural interplay between man and technology in order to win, inform and convince trade show visitors with a multi-dimensional, palpable, multi-faceted stand.

A networked production environment enables a smart factory. And artificial intelligence is the key to increasing productivity.

Digital Hub

Interactive service stations allowed visitors to freely explore the TRUMPF brand and the entire product range. From graphics to films to texts and technical data sheets – the intuitive touch technology and self-explanatory apps enabled every trade show visitor to access the information they wanted. The digital hub developed by SCHMIDHUBER left nothing to be desired.

Trumpf has thought of everything

Utilizing Track&Trace technology, TRUMPF is able to offer an exact and robust solution for indoor positioning and has received an award in the “Digital Transformation” category for its positioning system. Based on ultra-wideband technology (UWB), this system uses satellites to determine the precise position of markers in real time.

An interplay of analogue and digital

Despite all the technology, when it comes to the stand architecture TRUMPF never loses sight of the central premise: The customer is at the heart of everything. Offering an Easy Order Bar, an exciting show, and help stations with real-life TRUMPF experts on hand for personal consultation, the stand has been designed to facilitate personal contact, which in turn allows opportunity to jointly shape the future and develop solutions.

Interpersonal processes are enhanced by virtual networking. At TRUMPF, this is called TruConnect! This is where machine tools, laser technologies and people come together, culminating in one cohesive presence which translates TRUMPF’s ongoing digital transformation into communication and space.

Sony’s diverse product range fulfills every heart’s desire and for the IFA 2018, SCHMIDHUBER have developed an experience path that intuitively guides the visitor through this varied offer. Clear lines and visual angles direct the visitor without distracting from the focal point of this exhibition: A technological experience with a wealth of possibilities for day-to-day living.

The product variety of Sony

The change in atmosphere is also palpable, with clearly defined areas each offering a perceptible experience.
From the current camera releases to the latest XPERIA mobile phones, from the robot dog, Aibo, to TV and audio – Sony has become an integral part of the lives of its customers.

For the IFA, we developed a multi-sensory experience that intuitively guided visitors through a diverse range of products and services. Clear lines and axes ensured focus was directed onto the essential—the technology and its numerous applications in everyday life.

Framing Trends

New brand mission statement for DOMOTEX

The traditional trade fair DOMOTEX is not only the industry meeting place for floor coverings, it is also an important source of inspiration for the staging of surfaces. This quality is the essence of the trade fair and should characterize the appearance of DOMOTEX more strongly in the future.

In 2018, we were commissioned to develop a complete new orientation and establish it for the next three years. This is how the FRAMING TRENDS concept came into being – a center for innovations and trends that can be revisited every year.

The boundaries are always moving. These days the focus isn’t on products, but on the range of possibilities they represent. Trade fairs must drive these trends forward—bringing together experts from the industry and qualified know how. And this is exactly why the “Framing Trends” area in Hall 9 was created.

Unique Universe

Since then, a guiding theme has been defined every year, which determines communication at all levels and makes it tangible. Derived from the megatrend “individualization”, the central theme in 2018 was UNIQUE YOUNIVERSE – the opportunity to create a distinctive, personal ambience with unique pieces.

The interactive presentation of art and creativity particularly characterizes the fair: exhibitors, designers, universities and students as well as artists design their creative ideas on the current theme in 21 frames every year. The installations are as artistic as they are playful or even didactically rational.

Create 'n' Connect

For the second year, we are taking up one of the latest trend topics: Connectivity. Everyone is talking about it and it is probably one of the most powerful megatrends of our time. Digital communication technologies are fundamentally changing our lives and giving rise to new lifestyles and behavior patterns.

In 2019, under the central theme CREATE ‘N’ CONNECT, the significance of this development for the flooring industry was demonstrated.

Atmysphere

Derived from the “health” megatrend, the new ATMYSPHERE theme in 2020 was focused on all those properties of flooring that contribute to well-being as well as naturalness and sustainability.

The presentation of environmentally friendly materials and manufacturing processes as well as sustainable products shows the rich design possibilities for improving the quality of life and room atmospheres.

Corporate Design

An image composition consisting of the graphic “frame”, an emotional, inspiring image motif and the title communicates the current key theme as a key visual on title pages, posters, advertisements and interfaces.

FRAMING TRENDS also determines the visual appearance in the third dimension: a catchy frame that loosely embraces the individual with an open side. Unmistakable by the color accents and the conciseness of the title-giving trend topic the visual communication creates attention for the DOMOTEX and establishes the mark as trend organ.
