Transporting guests away from the carpeted aisles and full throttle into the world of Audi, Schmidhuber + Partner’s design for the carmaker’s stand at the IAA represented an interior streetscape. Used to direct the flow of visitors and define display areas, the ‘skywalk’ – a white floor with a light sheen and a ceiling track – guided people through the entire stand. The designers sliced the ceiling into thin strips that rippled above the cars, as though beamed in from above, thus generating a sense of movement among stationary vehicles. (...)

The first 02 trade fair stand following the expansion of the company to include fixed network telecommunications was the work of KMS Team and Schmidhuber + Partner. In its new location, Hall 26 at CeBIT, the stand not only showcased the latest products but also reinforced 02'S leading position in the mobilecommunications market. Ensuring instant recognition was a blue media cloud hovering above the 2606 qm space, a feature familiar to visitors of previous fairs. (...)

To launch 50 of its latest products, Grohe - a well-known manufacturer of bathroom furnishings and sanitaryware - asked Schmidhuber + Partner to create a lively stand for the ISH fair that would clearly communicate the firm's new marketing position, while engaging visitors in an emotional experience. Based on the integration of water and technology, and featuring Grohe's 'enjoy water' slogan, the stand offered centre stage to the product line. (...)
